Asaase Broadcasting denies allegations of unlawful property acquisition

Asaase Broadcasting denies allegations of unlawful property acquisition
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Asaase Broadcasting Company Limited has strongly refuted recent allegations made by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu.

Mr. Ablakwa had alleged that the property at Number 7, 5th Circular Road, Cantonments, occupied by Asaase Broadcasting, was unlawfully acquired state property.

But Asaase Broadcasting in a strongly worded statement has categorically denied these claims, calling them false and misleading.

Asaase Broadcasting clarified that the property was originally leased to Mr. Fosuaba Mensah Banahene on July 18, 2006, as bare land, which was later developed by Mr. Banahene.

The property was rented to Eurojet and subsequently assigned to Lilly Homes Limited through a deed dated March 4, 2020. Asaase Radio currently occupies the building under a tenancy agreement with Lilly Homes Limited.
