Arrest All Of Them At Once: ‘Stubborn’ NPP Supporters In Fresh Trouble For Damaging Properties

Arrest All Of Them At Once: ‘Stubborn’ NPP Supporters In Fresh Trouble For Damaging Properties
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The chaos from parts of the country has just begun. This is coming a few hours after the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo through the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development Dan Botwe released the much-awaited MMDCEs list.

Most of the Party members are disappointed after the names of their candidates were missing from the list. There was a demonstration at Nzema East in the western region on the same disappointments and now Chereponi in the North East Region of Ghana. Some members of the party in the area are unhappy and have started destroying properties in a scene that can best be described as deadly.

The angry members soon after the names were mentioned thronged the immediate office of the party and decided to take matters into their own hands. In a motion picture that has since gone viral, the youth could be seen bringing down the wooden structure painted with the blue and white colors of the party.

The main reasons for their actions were that their favorite was not mentioned. Now they are in fresh trouble because the police officers called to the scene to control affairs had a clash with the angry youth in retaliation. Their actions have since been condemned by many, and the police hierarchy is being urged to ensure they are all arrested as soon as possible to make them face the laws of the country.

Their actions are against the laws of the country and the police must deal with them as soon as possible. Reports indicate that some of them have already been arrested but many believe that anyone who was part of the attacks has to be put behind bars and made to face the laws of the country accordingly. This is a dangerous path the youth have taken because if the other faction also decides to retaliate, the results will be deadly.

The executives of the New Patriotic Party must be alert and begin to speak to their supporters before those who are bitter take the laws into their own hands. The Police on the other hand must be vigilant because such troubles will be rampant in the coming days. In the meantime, those who committed the crime at Chereponi by destroying properties must all be arrested and face the laws as soon as possible.
