The Ghana Police Service has served a notice to the general public following the Arise Ghana demonstration on Tuesday.

In a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, twelve(12) police officers have been injured by the protestors. The police also added that some of their vehicles have been damaged by the demonstrators.

The police further revealed that the officers who were injured were first treated at various mobile clinics that were available. The officers have now been transfered to the Police Hospital for further treatment.

The Ghana Police also made it clear that the demonstrators who caused this havoc to the police officers will surely be arrested. The Ghana Police earlier dropped a notice to the public that they are ready to protect the demonstrators. But it turns out that the people who were being protected by the police turned out to cause mayhem to the police officers.

The Arise Ghana demonstration is a two day protest against the Akuffo Addo led administration. It is demonstration organized by some members of the NDC and other concerned citizens. Some demonstrators were injured after the police released tear gas into the air. No death was recorded by the police.
