Hundreds of members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have taken to social media to hold their party to account for their, results collected in the recently concluded elections rather than mislead them with the court case.
The party’s supporters say the NDC led by John Dramani Mahama appears to be in court without any evidence and any data contrary to an earlier impression. Leading the call for responses is the Executive Director of the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Responsibility (ASEPA), Mensah Thompson, Efo Kormi, and other party members who always defend their agenda.
According to the ASEPA chief, the NDC created the impression that it had good data and “hired a biostatistician to analyze the election results for the [NDC]. John Mahama made several discoveries that appeared in a viral video that made everyone question the integrity of the elections based on how basic their presentation was “. – He said.
“Fast forward a few weeks later, he went to court and of the 5 witnesses he chose to present to the court, none included the biostatistician he hired to work on analyzing the election results.” He mentioned.
“Wait, I thought millions were spent camping people at party headquarters to do some work on infractions of the 2020 election results? Where are they? What did they find? Where is their report? He asked.
Several other party members expressed similar sentiments that the party took them for granted. “Serious ooo JM never failed to disappoint. He has taken over the party after the abysmal performance as President in the 2016 election, and made it look like he is the only one who can win the 2020 elections”. – He said.
“That shows how useless the national executives of this party are. They went to the court with nothing, absolutely nothing. No pink sheets, no evidence, no facts, and no law. They only went there with the overrated, spoiled and arrogant attorney Tsatsu Tsikata, who only speaks long hours of foreign-accented English grammar with little or no law or no citations of relevant laws, statutes, or legal cases to back up his lengthy emotional arguments” – He said.
That is why I always say that this 2020 electoral petition is the most useless, incompetent, frivolous, vexatious, and capricious electoral petition in the history of Ghana and the world. It is empty without any evidence or substance. The Zoom Lion should throw it in the Garbage Can in front of the Court, or at best petition papers should be given to the peanut vendors to sell more peanuts,” He said.
