Anas Has Destroyed Ghana Football – Stanley Afedzi

Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Stanley Afedzi

Former Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Stanley Afedzi has taken a swipe at Anas Aremeyaw Anas claiming he is the reason why football in the country is retrogressing.

FIFA in conjunction with the government of Ghana announced a four-member Normalization Committee after an investigative piece by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas dubbed ‘Number 12’, exposed riot and corruption in Ghana football in June 2018.

But according to Stanley Afedzi, the Anas expose has done more harm than good and the results are evident.

“Anas exposé has brought no good to Ghana football but rather destroyed it. Football is dying in this country gradually, maybe we could have found a proper way of dealing with this Anas issue”

Stanley Afedzi – Former Accra Hearts of Oak Midfielder

“This exposé has affected the players and club administrator’s finances due to lack of proper football in the last 2 years” he told Tema Community 2 based radio station, Plan B FM on the Ka Wadwen sports show.

The current Liberty Professionals U-19 coach played for Hearts of Oak between 2005 and 2009 and made 97 appearances before leaving for Al-Ittihad Tripoli in Libya.
