Alliance For Civic Action, (ACA ) Calls for Contempt Charges Against Suspended CJ

Alliance For Civic Action, (ACA ) Calls for Contempt Charges Against Suspended CJ
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

 PRESS RELEASE:

The Alliance for Civic Action (ACA) strongly condemns the public press conference held by Her Ladyship Justice Torkornoo amidst an active Article 146 investigation.

Breaches:

Article 146 – Interference with a lawful suspension process

Judicial Code of Conduct (Rule 3B(7)) – Public comment on pending proceedings

Contempt – Attempt to influence public perception

Act 550 – Misconduct in public office

We demand legal and disciplinary action. No one is above the law. This must serve as a precedent to sanitize our judiciary.

Signed: Francis Kwesi Badu-Mello, Secretary General, Alliance For Civic Action
