Mr. Alan Kyerematen, leader of the Movement for Change (MFC) and the independent candidate endorsed by the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC) for the December 7, 2024, general elections, brought his regional campaign to the Northern Regional capital, Tamale, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 with a call for change in the country’s political landscape
He engaged with the electorate and outlined his vision for the country on his tour of the region.
The arrival of Mr. and Mrs. Kyerematen in Tamale was met with enthusiastic support from MFC followers, who chanted “Alan Cash” while traditional drummers filled the streets with music. The campaign team, led by Buaben Asamoa, former Director of Communications for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), and Abubakar Saddique Boniface, former Minister for Zongo and Inner-Cities Development, visited the Dakpema Chief’s palace in the heart of Tamale.
In his address, Mr. Kyerematen emphasized his commitment to mobilizing support among Ghanaians to disrupt the political duopoly of the ruling NPP and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.
He argued that the NPP/National Democratic Congress (NDC) dominance has hindered national progress and prosperity, failing to meet the aspirations of the Ghanaian people.
Advocating for a shift in the political landscape, Mr. Kyerematen,a former Minister of Trade and Industry urged Ghanaians to rally behind him as a viable alternative for the presidency, aiming for a more prosperous and progressive Ghana.
He highlighted that his campaign tour, which has already covered the Eastern, Western, and Volta Regions, among others, has consistently focused on pledging to advance development in each regional capital.
This visit to Tamale is part of Mr. Kyerematen’s broader strategy to connect with voters across the country, presenting his platform as the solution to Ghana’s current political and economic challenges.
