Alan Kyerematen gains massive Ground in Zongos with launch of Zumunta

Election 2024: Vote for Alan Kyerematen to transform Ghana- Movement for Change
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Mr. Alan Kyerematen, the leader of the Afrafranto Movement, continues to ride a wave of unprecedented popularity as his campaign strategy resonates with Ghanaians across the nation. Following the lackluster performance of Alhaji Bawumia at a recent media engagement, political observers have noted a rapid surge in the membership of the Afrafranto Movement, particularly in the Zongo communities. The recent launch of Zumunta, the Zongo wing of the Movement, in Darkuman, Accra, has sent shockwaves through the political landscape, solidifying Mr. Kyerematen’s status as a formidable contender capable of breaking the longstanding dominance of the NDC and NPP.

The Zumunta launch, which drew thousands of enthusiastic supporters, marked a significant milestone for Mr. Kyerematen’s campaign. The event, characterized by an overwhelming show of support from the Muslim community, demonstrated the deepening connection between the Afrafranto Movement and the Zongos. The National Coordinator of Zumunta, Alhaji Saluhu Bala Maikankan, explained that the name symbolizes a “friendship of love,” bringing into sharp focus the Movement’s commitment to fostering strong ties with the Zongo communities. Mr. Alan Kyerematen’s message to the gathering was clear: the Zongos have unique needs and aspirations, and his administration, if elected, would prioritize addressing these through job creation and the inclusion of “Makaranta” teachers on the GES payroll.

The Afrafranto Movement’s embrace by the Zongo communities was further evident in the presence of prominent Zongo Chiefs in Accra and a multitude of residents from various Zongos in the Accra Municipality, who flocked to the event to catch a glimpse of the man they have come to admire. Mr. Kyerematen’s commitment to empowering Zongo Chiefs and Imams by including them on the Hajj Board, in place of politicians, struck a chord with the attendees, who have long felt marginalized by the traditional political powers. The promise of a Government of National Unity, a cornerstone of Mr. Kyerematen’s Great Transformational Plan, has resonated deeply with these communities, who are increasingly disappointed with the NDC and NPP’s governance over the past 32 years.

The Zumunta launch was not just a show of support, but a statement of intent from the Zongo communities. Many in attendance openly expressed their dissatisfaction with the current political duopoly and their desire for a fresh alternative that truly understands and addresses their needs. Mr. Kyerematen, affectionately known as “Alan Cash,” has managed to captivate these communities with his vision of unity and development, offering a glimmer of hope for a new political dawn in Ghana.

Before the Zumunta event, Mr. Kyerematen, accompanying by his wife and other partners of the Afrafranto Movement such as Dr. Abu Sakara, Alhaji Boniface Abubakar, Henry Asante, Hopeson Adorye, to mention but a few, met with the Kokonpe Spare Parts Dealers, another key constituency, where he assured them of his unwavering commitment to removing import levies on spare parts within the first two years of his administration. This pledge, warmly received by the dealers, has further bolstered his standing among the business community, who view him as a leader who understands their challenges and is willing to take decisive action to alleviate their burdens.

As the Afrafranto Movement continues to gain traction, it is becoming increasingly clear that Mr. Alan Kyerematen is not just a contender but a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming elections. His ability to connect with diverse groups, from Zongos to traders, and his focus on inclusive governance, have positioned him as a unifying figure in a deeply divided political landscape. The rapid rise of his Movement has sent ripples across the nation, and as momentum builds, many are beginning to believe that Alan Kyerematen could indeed be the one to break the myth of NDC/NPP dominance and lead Ghana into a new era of unity and prosperity.
