The Tema Central Communication team member for the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP Mr. Richard Anining has said that embattled former Trade and Industry Minister, Alan John Kyerematen’s resignation from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a clear indication that he (Alan) lacks political advisers.
Commenting on Alan Kyeremanten’s resignation on the Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM, Mr. Anining told the host Nana yaw Abrompah that political block can shift at any time if not of the “Yenim wo firi tete” slogan Nana Addo picked that time, Alan could have become the presidential candidate for NPP in 2014, also the political block shifted in NDC for John Mahama that’s why he was able to lead the party because he was nowhere near the presidential bid to become the flag bearer for his party.
He said, Alan was their darling boy in the party but anytime he lost the contest he resigned with the claim that his supporters were intimidated.
He added that Alan should have known that the 12% he had in 2012 and the 4% in 2017 were clear indications that the road was not clear for his presidential ambition in the party.
He continued that, Alan should stop the attitude of “if not me then no one else” and stop disturbing NPP for his parochial interest because sometimes in politics to you need to “take the bitter pill”
“I will stop doing politics if Alan gets 0.05 % in the 2024 general election”, he fumed.
