Akufo-Addo’s Govt Embroiled in Corruption Allegations Over Ramsar Site – Cromwell Ansah

Akufo-Addo’s Govt Embroiled in Corruption Allegations Over Ramsar Site – Cromwell Ansah

Cromwell Ansah, an NDC Communication Team Member for Ashaiman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has accused the Akufo-Addo-led administration of condoning corruption, citing the Lashibi Ramsar Manager’s alleged actions.

In an interview with Odiamono Kwaku Gyimah on Plan B FM’s Nkosoonsem show, Ansah stated that the existence of an unwritten law allowing corruption to thrive in the former administration led to almost every appointee of the Executive being involved in corrupt activities.

Ansah further alleged that the former President himself was seen accepting cash gifts openly, implying that “Thou shalt take bribes” became part of the unwritten laws of the Republic of Ghana, making it risky for individuals to resist bribes.

He appealed to everyone to remain calm as the demolition exercise takes off, stating, “It is for our own good.”

On a related note, Ansah also weighed in on the controversy surrounding the Chief Justice, Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkonoo. He backed calls for her resignation, citing concerns over the integrity of the judicial system, which he claimed had been compromised, with its integrity rating standing at 32%.

Ansah argued that her resignation would help restore some level of integrity to the system.
