Akufo-Addo elevates five Deputy Immigration Commissioners

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has elevated five Deputy Commissioners of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) to the rank of Commissioners, recognizing their dedication and leadership within the service.

According to Ghana web, The announcement was delivered by Comptroller-General of Immigration, Kwame Asuah Takyi, during a Thanksgiving Service held at the GIS Headquarters in Accra.

In his remarks, Comptroller-General Takyi lauded the promoted officers for their outstanding contributions to the GIS. He also expressed deep appreciation to President Akufo-Addo for his steadfast support, which he noted has been instrumental in advancing the Service’s mission and objectives over the years.

The Thanksgiving Service, which celebrated a fruitful year for the GIS, featured vibrant performances by the GIS Dance Band and the Inspirational Choir. These performances symbolized not only the Service’s achievements but also its commitment to growth and its pivotal role in national security and immigration management.

The promotions underscore the GIS’s commitment to recognizing excellence within its ranks while preparing to address future challenges. The newly promoted Commissioners are expected to bring renewed energy and vision to the Service as it continues to safeguard Ghana’s borders and strengthen immigration policies.
