Aid To Owusu Bempah Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Police Officers.

Bright Berchie, a 30-year-old aide of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the Head Pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International Accra, has been detained.

The suspect was purportedly seen brandishing a weapon and threatening to kill police officers and others in a widely in a video that went viral.

The suspect has been charged with threats of death, aggressive conduct, and possession of a firearm without authorized authority, according to the police.

According to the Ghana Police Service, a  weapon has been taken from him for ballistic examination to aid further investigations.

Meanwhile, the trial of Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah and four other defendants has been adjourned to October 5, 2021.
