Nana Afrakoma Serwaa Kusi Oboadum, the queen mother of Agogo in the Ashanti Region, has taken legal action against the Asante Akyem North Municipal Assembly over what she describes as persistent noise, safety hazards, and property damage caused by football activities near her residence.

In a motion filed at the Agogo District Court, the queen mother is seeking an interlocutory injunction to restrain the assembly from allowing football matches at the park situated adjacent to her home.

According to court documents, the park, which is managed by the assembly, has become a constant source of disturbance and danger to the queen mother and nearby residents.

Balls from ongoing matches reportedly hit and destroy electric security wires, posing serious safety risks, the document revealed.

Nana Afrakoma Serwaa Kusi Oboadum contends that despite several complaints lodged with the municipal authorities, no meaningful steps have been taken to resolve the issue.

She says the continued use of the park has led to financial losses and endangers both players and residents.

The court has set 22 October, for the hearing of the injunction application.
