The Association of Ghana Industries has expressed its deepest sympathy and unwavering support to member companies affected by the recent flooding in parts of Greater Accra and other areas of the country.
In a statement signed by the Association’s Chief Executive Officer, Seth Twum-Akwaboah, the AGI acknowledged the devastating impact of the floods on businesses, noting that factories, machinery, warehouses, raw materials, finished products, offices, and other critical infrastructure had suffered significant damage.
The Association also highlighted the disruption to production, supply chains, and general business operations, while recognising the emotional and financial burden the disaster has placed on business owners, employees, and their families.
The AGI reaffirmed its solidarity with all affected member companies and commended their resilience and determination as they work to restore operations and protect jobs despite the challenges.
As part of efforts to assess the extent of the damage, the Association has urged all affected member companies to submit details of their losses to enable it to better understand the impact on industry.
The AGI further reiterated its commitment to supporting the recovery of affected businesses, rebuilding stronger industries, safeguarding livelihoods, and promoting the growth of Ghana’s private sector.
The Association encouraged affected members seeking further assistance or information to contact its Membership Department.
