Military men have invaded Ntobroso near Nkawie in the Ashanti Region and burnt down a 10 bedroom house. The military men went to the house purposely to destroy some mining equipment in the house.

According to one of the residents, Michael Osei, occupants of the house were into community mining in the area but they had stopped because things were not going well for them. They then brought their equipment to a 10 bedroom house they had built and were living in.

He added that when the military men got to the house, they penetrated some gallons containing diesel which they had in the house. They poured the fuel on the machines and set them on fire. Unfortunately, the fire extended and the house caught fire.

The military men realising what they had done, went back into the cars and left. Everything thing in the house has been destroyed and the residents are trying their best to completely put out the fire. Michael said he alone had about GH₵ 6000 in his room.

The house had about 15 occupants. Fortunately, no life was lost and none was hurt. The DCE of the area went to the site of the incident but the residents chased him with stones so he had to leave.
