The national chairperson of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Madam Betty Akuffo-Amoabeng, has trumpeted the fortunes of her party ahead of the December 7 general elections.
In her interaction with journalists after the third national delegates congress of the party held at the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) conference hall in Accra last Saturday, 5th September, where Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings was officially outdoored as flagbearer of the party for the 2020 general elections, madam Amoabeng unreservedly affirmed that the NDP is poised to stir up an electoral surprise this year.
Having reiterated the NDP’s desire to be relevant in the parliamentary detail of this year’s general elections , madam Amoabeng was quick to brush aside narratives that questioned her party’s impact in the overall picture at the end of the polls saying, “we will surprise you “.
She expressed satisfaction with the steady growth of the party and the successful organisation of this year’s National Delegates Congress amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
