The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that it will release the second batch of postings for the 2026/2027 national service year on Monday, October 12, 2026, with subsequent batches expected in the coming days.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Authority assured prospective National Service Personnel (NSPs) who are yet to receive their postings that the process is ongoing and urged them to remain calm and patient as arrangements are finalised.
The NSA said all eligible applicants who have not yet been posted will receive their placements in due course.
The Authority also announced plans to place greater emphasis on private sector placements to complement opportunities available within the public sector.
According to the NSA, the initiative is intended to expand placement opportunities for prospective personnel while strengthening the connection between national service and the world of work.
It explained that closer collaboration with private sector organisations would provide personnel with relevant workplace experience, practical skills and competencies needed in today’s job market.
Beyond placements during the service year, the Authority said it was committed to encouraging host organisations to retain qualified National Service Personnel as permanent employees after the completion of their service.
The NSA believes the approach could help deserving personnel transition into sustainable employment while contributing to youth employment, productivity and national development.
The Authority has therefore encouraged private businesses and other eligible institutions to partner with it by offering placement opportunities and considering qualified personnel for permanent employment after their service.
Meanwhile, prospective personnel who are yet to receive their postings have been advised to rely on the NSA’s official communication channels for updates and further information regarding their deployment.
