Obstinate people may listen to advice but refuse to change — Abrema May

Teachers must watch for signs of pretence among pupils — Abrema May
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Abrema May has explained that obstinate people may listen to advice but still refuse to change their behaviour or decisions.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s family, relationship and lifestyle programme, Nyansapo Fie, hosted by Akosua Gyamfua, Abrema May described an obstinate person as someone who is extremely difficult to deal with and remains determined to follow their own course despite advice from others.

She clarified that being obstinate does not necessarily mean changing one’s mind after receiving advice.

According to her, an obstinate person may view advice as a hindrance to a decision they have already made and remain determined to do what they had planned, regardless of what others say.

Abrema May noted that such individuals can become overly determined and may even regard their refusal to change as a sign of strength.

She cautioned that this attitude can sometimes influence people, particularly children, to engage in actions their parents may not approve of.

Abrema May also encouraged people to make prayer an important part of dealing with difficult situations and decisions.

She said when people genuinely pray and allow God to guide them, they are more likely to make better decisions and see situations fall into place.
