The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has warned the public against using 20 mobile loan applications operating without the requisite licence or authorisation to provide digital credit services in Ghana.
The warning forms part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to sanitise the digital credit space and protect the public from entities providing digital loans without regulatory approval.
In a notice to licensed financial institutions and the general public, the BoG said the identified applications are operating in contravention of the Directive for Digital Credit Service Providers in Ghana (September 2025).
The affected loan applications are:
- Cascredit
- Cash Future
- Cash Cedi
- Cashpal
- Cashpal Pro
- CreditGo
- Funds Credit
- Glow Credit
- Moni Wave
- MoniLend
- Nova Cedi
- Onua Loan
- Quick Cedi
- Sika Boost
- Sika Credit
- Sompa Loan
- Sune Credit
- Swift Lend
- Target Credit
- Zoom Advance
The Bank of Ghana urged the public to exercise caution when accessing digital credit services and to deal only with providers that have the necessary regulatory approval.
The latest notice follows an earlier BoG warning on unlicensed Digital Credit Service Providers as the central bank intensifies measures to regulate Ghana’s rapidly growing digital lending sector.
