Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has set his sights on a winning start to Ghana’s 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign, insisting his side is determined to begin the tournament on a positive note against Cabo Verde.
Speaking ahead of the opening Group C clash, the Swedish tactician stressed the importance of securing all three points to build momentum for the rest of the competition.
“We want to start the tournament with a win,” Bjorkegren said, expressing confidence in his team’s preparations and readiness for the challenge.
The Black Queens will be hoping to make a strong statement in their opening fixture as they chase a successful campaign at the 2026 WAFCON.
