According to reports, the suspect, identified only as Kwadwo, is currently in police custody assisting with investigations after allegedly attacking his younger brother with a sharp object.

An eyewitness, Bright Osarfo, said residents heard distress calls emanating from the forest and rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they reportedly found the victim under attack and intervened to rescue him.

The suspect was subsequently apprehended by residents and handed over to the police.

The incident is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Speaking on the matter, the Unit Committee Member for the area, Esther Kissiwaa, revealed that an angry mob attempted to assault the suspect following his arrest. However, police officers swiftly intervened and prevented the situation from escalating.
