Shame on you – MP slams residents, party members for joining Ada demo

Shame on you – MP slams residents, party members for joining Ada demo
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Member of Parliament for the Ada Constituency, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, has criticised some residents and party members over recent demonstrations concerning road projects in Ada.

According to her, the previous NPP government halted the Kasseh to Ada Foah road project in 2017 due to investigations, leading to a suspension of construction works in the area.

“The NPP stopped the Kasseh to Ada Foah road construction in 2017 in the name of investigations,” she said.

The MP questioned why individuals who remained silent during the NPP’s eight years in office are now protesting barely one and a half years into the current NDC administration.

“They were in power for eight years, and you never complained,” she stated.

“Today, your party has been in power for just one and a half years, and the government has already started constructing inner roads in Ada, yet you are teaming up with the NPP to demonstrate against your own government.”

Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah also expressed disappointment in some party executives and government appointees who joined the protests.

“Shame on you,” she said. “And you call yourself an executive member or government appointee?”

She urged constituents to be patient and allow ongoing road projects under the current administration to progress, stressing that development works require time and continuity.
