The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has cautioned the general public, prospective land buyers, and real estate developers against engaging in any land transactions involving its disputed lands on the Spintex Road in Accra.
In a public notice issued by management, GACL said the approximately 16-acre parcel of land, located adjacent to and opposite Action Chapel International, is currently the subject of ongoing litigation before the courts.
According to the notice, the company has become aware that the land is allegedly being offered for sale by Airport Logistics Limited and McDan Shipping Company Limited, both subsidiaries of the McDan Group of Companies.
GACL stated that the High Court (Land Division) in Accra on May 6, 2025, delivered judgment in its favour, granting the company the right to re-enter and take possession of the land.
Although the McDan Group has reportedly filed an appeal against the ruling, GACL stressed that the matter remains pending before the Court of Appeal and therefore remains sub judice.
The company further warned that no individual or entity currently has the legal authority to sell, lease, or transfer any interest in the disputed land until the judicial process is concluded.
GACL strongly advised the public to desist from entering into negotiations, payments, or any form of transaction relating to the property, noting that anyone who proceeds does so at their own risk.
The company also indicated that it would not recognise any third-party interests created during the pendency of the litigation and reserved the right to take legal action to protect its assets.
