The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of outstanding funds for the procurement of perishable food items for Senior High and Technical Schools across the country.

In a statement issued on April 20, 2026, GES said the funds have been released to the Service and processes are underway to ensure their efficient distribution to beneficiary schools.

Management indicated that measures have been put in place to monitor the use of the funds and ensure they are utilised solely for their intended purpose.

The Service also assured stakeholders of its commitment to the welfare of students and the continuous improvement of educational outcomes nationwide.

The statement, signed by Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenyi, described the release as part of efforts to support schools and sustain effective operations within the education sector.
