GCAA confirms microlight crash in Tema

In a press statement issued in Accra, the Authority said the aircraft, with registration number 9GADV, was en route from Ho to Accra when the incident occurred.

According to the GCAA, the aircraft was expected to arrive in Accra at 1520 Zulu time, but its last radio contact was recorded earlier at 1418 Zulu.

Two persons were reported to be on board at the time of the crash.

The Authority says further details will be communicated in due course as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
