All outstanding rent allowances for Prisons Service personnel paid – Muntaka Mubarak

Muntaka Challenges Afenyo-Markin On E-Levy Reportage

The Ministry of the Interior has announced that all outstanding rent allowance arrears for personnel of the Ghana Prisons Service, Ghana National Fire Service, and the Ghana Immigration Service for the year 2025 have been fully paid.

The sector minister, Muntaka Mubarak, confirmed this in a press release issued by the Ministry on March 2, 2026.

According to the statement, government has released the necessary funds to settle all outstanding rent allowance arrears for eligible personnel across the three security services.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to the affected personnel for their patience and understanding during the period of delay.
