ADR Expert Warns: ”Marriage is a Risk with No Exit Clause”

Speaking on Nyansapo fie show on Plan B 104.5 FM, ADR practitioner Aunty May has observed that every individual has certain triggers that can affect harmony in marriage, urging couples to be mindful of one another’s needs and emotions.

Speaking on marital relationships, she cautioned wives against taking their husbands’ hunger and basic needs for granted, stressing that small considerations can go a long way in maintaining peace at home. She further noted that when a husband helps with household chores such as cooking or washing, it should be appreciated as an act of support rather than seen as a permanent obligation.

Aunty May also highlighted the importance of communication in marriage, explaining that open and honest discussions help couples understand each other better and resolve issues early.

She concluded by encouraging couples to practice forgiveness when they offend one another and to avoid allowing negative issues to build up, as unresolved emotions can damage the foundation of the marriage.
