Ken Ofori-Atta must answer questions or protests will continue — Francis Badu Melo

Ken Ofori-Atta must answer questions or protests will continue — Francis Badu Melo
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Francis Badu Melo, an NDC communicator and Deputy NADMO Coordinator for the Kpone Katamanso Constituency, has called on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to answer questions regarding his role in decisions that affected Ghana’s banking sector. Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, he warned that demonstrations will continue if the former minister fails to account for his actions.

Mr. Melo questioned how GH₵25 million of public funds could be used in a way that, in his view, led to the collapse of banks that allegedly owed about GH₵9 million. He described the situation as unfair and damaging to the financial sector and the economy at large.

He further accused the former president of allowing such decisions to occur and stressed that accountability and transparency are essential. According to him, citizens will continue to protest until clear answers are provided to the public.
