Petition To Free Kwesi Nyantakyi A Criminal Offence – Maurice Ampaw To Premier League Clubs

Renowned Legal Practitioner, Maurice Ampaw believes the petition being considered by Ghana Premier league clubs to President Akufo-Addo to pardon former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA),Kwesi Nyantakyi, is misplaced.

“It’s a criminal offence for these unknown faces to petition the president to pardon Nyantakyi. The matter has been taken up by the police and they’re doing their investigation”

“It is the same govt who was implicated in the matter to withdraw it. They don’t have the right to petition the President to free the man”.

“What they’re doing is an interference in investigations and a criminal offence”, he added.

Kwesi Nyantakyi is serving a life-time ban from FIFA after being found guilty of bribery and corruption by Anas Aremeyaw Anas in an exposé in June 2018.
