Malik Basintale breaks silence, dismisses rumours of stroke and London treatment

NPP has quickly auctioned over 50 vehicles to friends – Malik Basintale
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Malik Basintale, has debunked viral rumours suggesting he has been bedridden by ill health.

Recent social media claims alleged that the YEA boss — who has maintained a relatively low public profile in recent weeks — was suffering a stroke and receiving medical care in London.

Basintale set the record straight on Sunday, November 16, 2025, describing the reports as “fake news” and insisting he is in good health.

“Kurugu Toli: ton ton je!! Ignore the false news… No stroke, no London!” he declared in a Facebook post.

He further reiterated his wellness in a virtual interview, stating that the rumours were a calculated attempt to mislead the public.
