Blame Shifting: A hindrance to personal growth

“God is the Master of Time: Use it Wisely” – Prophet Asante Advises
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Prophet Isaac Asante, a panelist on the Nyansapofie show on Plan B 104.5 FM, has urged individuals to cultivate the courage to take responsibility for their actions instead of shifting blame onto others. According to him, blame-shifting often stems from fear and a lack of confidence, and it prevents personal growth and progress in life.

He emphasized that in most families, men are expected to provide leadership—not only financially, but emotionally and morally. Therefore, men must be willing to acknowledge their mistakes rather than shifting blame to their wives or other family members.

“People shift blame out of fear and lack of boldness. Many who constantly shift blame find it difficult to progress in life. We should be bold enough to accept our wrongdoings,” Prophet Asante stated.

He stressed that accepting responsibility is the first step toward maturity, healing, and development—both in families and in society at large.
