A member of the NPP Communication Team in Tema West, Richard Anning, has accused the TDC Director of overstepping his mandate by attempting to manage reservoirs in Tema—an area he says is under the authority of the assembly.

According to Mr. Anning, the director initially attempted a similar move in Tema Metro but was stopped by Tema Mayor Ebi Bright, and has now shifted focus to Tema West. He emphasized that the TDC has no jurisdiction over such matters, citing that two key laws govern Tema—the Acquisition Act and the Reservation Act.

“TDC is a limited liability company and an estate developer under the Ministry of Works and Housing. Their focus should be on building houses for rent and sale, not managing reservoirs,” he stated
