A communication member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Anning, has cast doubt on the ongoing investigation involving the Member of Parliament for Asutifi North over the alleged attack on the NAIBOS Director and his team at Hwidiem.
Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, Richard Anning argued that Hon. Collins Dawda should rather be the focus of the investigation. According to him, “Hon. Collins Dawda mentioned that he called the MP to go to the galamsey site. He is also on tape admitting that he bought transformers for the mining site, so if the CID is to investigate anyone, it should be Hon. Collins Dawda, not the MP.”
He went on to question former President John Dramani Mahama, asking, “What is the difference between the large-scale mining his brother is operating and the charges against Chairman Wontumi’s mining operations?”
Richard Anning concluded by saying he is confident that the ongoing investigation “won’t go anywhere.”
