James Tamakloe, a communicator for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tema West constituency, has called for proper systems to be established before extending a 24-hour operational structure to Ghana’s judicial system.
Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, Mr. Tamakloe noted that while he personally supports the idea, there is a need to prioritize the necessary groundwork. He emphasized that critical elements such as a paperless court system, effective evidence management, and secured infrastructure must be in place to ensure efficiency and integrity in the judicial process.
He further cautioned that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) appears to be in a hurry to fulfill its campaign promises without properly addressing foundational needs. “We should first make sure the system is ready before rushing into the 24-hour judiciary proposal,” he stated.
