The Sakumono District Police Command has arrested three individuals in connection with a shooting and trespassing incident at the Celebrity Golf Club area in Sakumono, Accra.

The suspects — identified as Abubakar Mohammed, 28, Eric Asare, 23, and Felix Darko, 48 — were apprehended on October 18, 2025, following reports of gunfire at a construction site linked to one of the club’s executives.

According to a police statement issued by the Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region, Superintendent Juliana Obeng, preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects falsely claimed to be National Security operatives.

They reportedly stormed the site and unlawfully discharged firearms, causing damage to parts of the property.

Police believe the attack is connected to an ongoing land dispute involving individuals associated with the Nungua Traditional Council.

All three suspects are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.

The Accra Regional Police Command has cautioned the public, especially those involved in land disputes, to refrain from acts of lawlessness. It assured that anyone found guilty of such actions will face the full rigour of the law.
