‘She Smokes Wee’: Ex-SHS Assistant Head Speaks On KNUST SHS Student In Viral video

Daniel Boamah-Duku, a former Assistant Headmaster of KNUST Senior High School, has shared details about the recent viral video capturing the current Assistant Headmaster, Charles Akwasi Aidoo, in a compromising situation with a female student.

According to Boamah-Duku, his long-time friend Aidoo, whom he affectionately called “Stonebwoy” since their early days, has surprised him with his actions.

He alleged that the girl seen in the video is known on campus for bad behaviour and was once disciplined by school authorities.

Speaking in an interview on Oyerepa TV on October 1, 2025, Boamah-Duku alleged that the student “smokes wee” and had been expelled from the school’s boarding house due to misconduct, which forced her to continue as a day student.

He remarked, “No matter who you are, you cannot extort money from children. The law even says that we should not manhandle them. Even if a child offers herself to you, you must not engage her. So, God should help us all.

“The child in question, from what I know she is not a good girl. She smokes wee. And I am surprised that Stonebwoy would associate with her because this is a child we disciplined and expelled from the boarding house.

GES removes assistant headmaster over ‘dirty’ viral video scandal

“Why would you give your phone to such a girl and involve yourself with her? She is a bad girl. Stonebwoy has been my friend for years, and he is also an old student.”

Meanwhile, Charles Akwasi Aidoo has been removed from the school following the circulation of the viral video on social media.

In a statement issued on September 29, 2025, the Ghana Education Service (GES) said it had taken the matter seriously and acted swiftly to protect the integrity of the teaching profession and ensure the welfare of students.

According to the statement, Aidoo has been barred from accessing the school while the investigation continues.

The Service explained that the decision was necessary to safeguard a safe learning environment for students and protect the institution’s credibility.

The GES assured parents, students and the general public that due process would be followed, stressing that appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken in line with its code of conduct.

“The GES remains committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and child protection in all our schools. We strongly condemn any acts that compromise the safety, dignity and well-being of students,” the statement read.

The Service reiterated its commitment to protecting the integrity of the teaching profession and emphasised that misconduct of any kind would not be tolerated.
