Poultry Farmers Association Throws Weight Behind Government’s ‘Nkoko Nkitikiti’ Initiative

We Need Money To Cater For Our Families – Poultry Farmers To Government

The Poultry Farmers Association has pledged its support for the government’s ambitious ‘Nkoko Nkete3’ project, designed to revitalize Ghana’s ailing poultry industry.

According to Napoleon Agyeman Oduro, Former Vice President of the Association, “We will support the president in this initiative, as it’s a step in the right direction.” Oduro acknowledged the industry’s long-standing challenges, citing the staggering 90% reliance on imported chicken.

However, Oduro cautioned that the success of the initiative hinges on greater involvement of poultry farmers in the project’s design and implementation. “Poultry farmers have not been involved enough in the project, and this needs to be addressed,” he emphasized.

The ‘Nkoko Nkete3’ initiative aims to boost local chicken production, reduce imports, and promote economic growth. With the Association’s backing, the project is poised to make a significant impact on Ghana’s poultry industry.
