Deputy NADMO Coordinator and NDC communicator, Francis Badu Melo, has commended President John Mahama for what he describes as a visionary and listening leadership.
According to him, the government’s decision to increase the daily feeding allowance for prison inmates from GH¢1.80 to GH¢5.00 is unprecedented and demonstrates the President’s commitment to the welfare of all citizens, including those in correctional facilities.
Mr. Melo stressed that prisons exist to correct mistakes and reform individuals, and proper nutrition is a key factor in helping inmates change their attitudes and reintegrate positively into society. He therefore applauded His Excellency for what he termed “an amazing initiative” that reflects compassion and true leadership.
