Protecting Trade Secrets Key to Business Success – Entrepreneur

Protecting Trade Secrets Key to Business Success – Entrepreneur
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Christian Adu Gyanson, popularly known as Sir Chris, has emphasized the importance of keeping trade secrets in business as a key factor for success. Speaking on Tuesday Market on Plan B Drive with Blutut Africa, Sir Chris noted that every entrepreneur must have a unique secret about their product or service that distinguishes them from competitors.

“Trade secrets are confidential business information that provide a competitive advantage and must be guarded at all costs,” he explained. “Even in something as common as preparing kenkey, the style and method should be unique enough to make people easily identify your brand.”

Sir Chris, who is an entrepreneur, seasoned marketer, and Chief Executive Officer of Owiaman Prestige Enterprise, further illustrated his point with a biblical reference, recalling the story of Samson, whose downfall began when he revealed his secret to his wife. According to him, this serves as a lesson that revealing your unique business secrets can destroy the foundation of your success.

He urged entrepreneurs, especially young business owners, to learn the discipline of confidentiality and innovation. “Every business owner who wants to be successful should have a secret about their product,” he stressed.
