President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has stated that a modern sports stadium will be built in each of the six regions recently created.
He made this statement in his speech delivered during the Western North Region leg of his “Thank You Tour” after getting elected into office as President of Ghana for the second time.
The Western North is one of the six regions recently created including the Oti Region, Savannah Region, North East, Bono East Region and Ahafo Region.
In his speech, President Mahama added that Sports and Recreation Minister Kofi Adams is supervising the designs of modern stadia for the new regions stating,
“Modern sports stadia are to be built for the six new regions and other regions that do not have them.”

“As I speak, the Minister of Sports and Recreation is overseeing the design of modern sports stadia for the six new regions and the regions that don’t have them and so Western North is going to receive a modern sports stadium.”
