Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has denied allegations of approving a $1.7 million single-source procurement contract.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, March 22, Dr. Forson dismissed the claims as “baseless and misleading” urging the public to disregard them.

He further clarified that since assuming office, he has not approved any procurements, emphasizing his commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible economic management.

“My attention has been drawn to yet another baseless and misleading claim circulating about an alleged $1.7 million single-source procurement contract approved by me.

“This claim is completely false and should be disregarded. Let me state clearly and categorically: I have not approved any procurements since I took office as Minister. My focus remains on ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsible economic management in the best interest of Ghana,” he wrote.
