The Agonaman Executive Club and the entire youth of Agona in the Central Region have expressed hearty congratulations to Professor George Oduro on his appointment as the Technical Advisor to the Minister of Education.

A statement signed by the secretary, Robert Abeku Ansah touted the appointment as a tribute to Prof. Oduro’s exceptional leadership in academia, his great achievements in the educational sector, and his unrelenting dedication to developing reforms that promote long-term educational reform in Ghana.

As a native of Agona Asafo, Prof. Oduro is a remarkable administrator, seasoned educationist, and erudite scholar who has continuously promoted the ideals of educational leadership, teacher professionalism, and high-quality education—values that continue to influence students, educators, and politicians.

“For us in Agona, this appointment is not just an individual achievement but a collective honour that reflects the intellectual and leadership excellence that our people have always demonstrated.

“It reinforces Agona’s position as a hub of academic brilliance and visionary leadership. We take immense pride in Prof. Oduro’s success, knowing that his expertise will contribute significantly to shaping progressive policies that will enhance Ghana’s education system,” the statement lauded.

The Club is confident that the former Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast(UCC) will bring his wealth of experience to bear in advancing Ghana’s educational transformation agenda.

“We wish Prof. George K.T. Oduro the very best in this new role and assure him of our unwavering support as he embarks on this noble journey to further impact education in Ghana and beyond,” the statement added.
