Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the government agency responsible for disaster response and emergency management in Ghana.

Kuyon, a retired Ghana Armed Forces officer, brings extensive experience in security, finance, corporate governance, and conflict resolution.

He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in China and has served in various leadership roles, including as a UN peacekeeper and finance officer in multiple international missions.

During his military career, Kuyon played a key role in financial administration, security operations, and institutional reforms within the Ghana Armed Forces. His background in crisis management and public finance is expected to enhance NADMO’s capacity in disaster preparedness and response.

His appointment comes at a critical time as NADMO continues efforts to strengthen Ghana’s disaster resilience and emergency response strategies.
