Yaw Owusu Obimpeh, the NDC’s representative, has won the Ashanti Regional Council of State election after a rerun held under heavy security at the Prempeh Assembly Hall.
He secured 49 votes, defeating his closest contender, Nana Nkansah Boadu, who garnered 35 votes.
