Abigail Elorm Mensah appointed Acting CEO of MASLOC

President John Mahama has named Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).

The appointment, pending consultation with the yet-to-be-constituted Council of State, marks a pivotal moment in the government’s agenda to strengthen financial support for small and medium enterprises across Ghana.

A formal letter from the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, confirmed the appointment and extended the President’s best wishes to Abigail Elorm Mensah. The letter also requested that she formally accept or decline the position within fourteen days of receipt.

A Leader with Vast Experience
Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to her new role.

Currently serving as the Deputy National Women’s Organizer for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), she has played a crucial role in policy formulation, stakeholder engagement, and leadership development within the party.

Her academic background is equally impressive. She holds a Master of Commerce in Taxation from Pentecost University Graduate School, an LLB from the University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Methodist University College. Additionally, she obtained a Higher National Diploma in Accounting from Koforidua Polytechnic.

Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah is also a member of the Ghana National ADR Practitioners Association and has reached the final level of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana.

With a career spanning financial management, auditing, policy implementation, and risk assessment, Abigail Akwambea Elorm Mensah has demonstrated an exceptional ability to lead and drive institutional growth. Her core competencies include budgeting and financial reporting, data analysis, ICT systems monitoring, and team management—skills that are vital for overseeing MASLOC’s microfinance initiatives.

Her appointment aligns with the government’s vision to enhance financial accessibility for small businesses and empower entrepreneurs across the nation. As Acting CEO, Mensah is expected to bring innovation and efficiency to MASLOC’s operations, ensuring that its financial services reach the grassroots effectively.
