President John Dramani Mahama has terminated the appointment of Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh as the Director-General of the Ghana Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In a letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh has been directed to hand over his responsibilities to Dr. James Klutse Avedzi, who has been appointed as the Acting Director-General of the SEC.
However, the letter did not clearly state the reason for the termination of his appointment.
The SEC is the regulatory body responsible for overseeing and maintaining stability in Ghana’s capital markets, ensuring investor protection, and fostering market growth.
