The University has officially commissioned a new state-of-the-art building for the Tema Learning Centre, designed to enhance teaching, learning and research, which further highlights the University’s commitment to a transformative student experience.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, celebrated the collective efforts in bringing this vision to life and pointed out the facility’s role in advancing the University’s five strategic priorities. She also called for increased collaboration with other units within the University to expand demand-driven programmes across the Tema Metropolis.

Professor Samuel Nii Ardey Codjoe, Provost of the College of Education, thanked University Management for the key role they played in ensuring the successful completion of the new building and also announced the University’s introduction of some graduate programmes as part of the Distance Education programme.

Professor Olivia A.T.F. Kwapong, Dean of School of Continuing and Distance Education, expressed gratitude to GTEC and GETFund for their funding support.

The event concluded with the Vice-Chancellor unveiling a plaque to mark the official opening of the Centre as a hub for academic excellence.
