A fierce fire has destroyed the Techiman market in the Bono East Region, razing several shops.

Firefighters were deployed to the scene to contain the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains unclear, but officers from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) will soon launch an investigation.

This incident comes just a few weeks after a similar fire destroyed the Kantamanto market in the Greater Accra Region.
