Eric Adjei alleges planned sale of Tema Oil Refinery

Anger At TOR As New Board Members List Drop
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Deputy spokesperson of the vice-president-elect, Eric Adjei, has raised concerns over alleged plans by the outgoing government to sell the Tema Oil Refinery(TOR) to a private entity known as Net Oil.

Reports suggest the transaction is being facilitated by an individual identified as Apenten, with the agreement awaiting final approval from the Finance minister.

In a statement on his Facebook wall, Adjei called the purported deal as “fraudulent,” questioning its timing, especially in the wake of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) losing power in the recent general elections.

He argued that such a critical decision should not be made during a transitional period.

“We are calling on the finance minister to refrain from signing this questionable deal.

This is not the time to rush into transactions that may not serve the best interests of the nation,” he stated.
