Auntie May’s advice to wives: Talk to your husband about his food preferences

God’s Love: The antidote to character assassination – ADR Practitioner
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Mary Bright Coffie, a renowned fashion designer, Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioner, and relationship expert, has counselled wives to foster a more harmonious marital environment by considering their husbands’ culinary preferences.

In a recent interview on Plan B FM’s popular programme, “Nyansapɔ Fie,” hosted by Nana Asabea, Coffie highlighted the importance of effective communication in marriages. She advised wives against serving their husbands’ least favourite dishes without prior notice, recommending instead that they inform their partners about the available meal and offer alternatives.

This approach, Coffie noted, can help prevent conflicts and promote understanding in marriages. She cited a notable example of a couple who had established a mutually beneficial understanding regarding their dietary preferences, demonstrating the value of flexibility and open communication in relationships.

Coffie also emphasised the importance of building marriages on friendliness, mutual respect, and empathy, rather than adhering to rigid rules. By fostering a culture of understanding and effective communication, couples can cultivate stronger, more resilient relationships and create a more harmonious home environment.
